Many SLPs work with children.
Ask the SLP:

Most important: find an SLP you feel comfortable with.
3) Make sure the details work for you.
Ask the SLP:
- ▮ Do you go to their office?
- ▮ Does the SLP come to your home?
- ▮ Is teletherapy (online therapy over the computer) possible?
- ▮ How much will therapy cost?
- ▮ When are appointments available?
Most important: find an SLP you feel comfortable with.
Other questions:
- ▮ Is their office wheelchair accessible?
- ▮ Is parking available? Is parking free?
- ▮ Will insurance help pay?
- ▮ Do you pay for travel time/distance?
- ▮ What forms of payment are accepted?
- ▮ How long are appointments? (30, 45, or 60 minutes is typical.)
- ▮ How many sessions each week?
- ▮ What is the cancellation policy?
- ▮ Are family included in sessions?
It’s good to talk to a few SLPs.
You can change SLPs at any time. However, each change can be costly.
