What We Do
Vision: Every Stroke Survivor in BC has respect, inclusion, and support in their home community.
Mission: Through its local stroke recovery branches, SRABC is committed to helping stroke survivors and their caregivers throughout the province to improve their overall quality of life.
The objectives of our programs are to:
- Maintain and improve mobility
- Maintain and improve communication for those with speech impairment
- Provide mental stimulation
- Provide an accepting environment for social interaction
- Provide support to caregivers
- Increase awareness of stroke risk and impairment after stroke
The Heart and Stroke Foundation is a valued partner of SRABC. We work closely together but we are two different organizations. The Heart and Stroke Foundation contributes significant funding to SRABC. Our provincial office is in the Heart and Stroke Foundation building in Vancouver.
