Adapted Exercise Classes at Neuro-Ability Physiotherapy Clinic

Neuro-Ability is excited to run their next series of Adapted Group Classes for individuals with Neurological Conditions.  The classes are lead by a physiotherapist and yoga instructor and will focus on yoga principles.

This next series starts in May and will run for 7 weeks until the end of June.
One class will be held on Tuesdays and the other on Thursdays, from 5:15-6:30pm.

Annual SRABC Summer Retreat

Naramata Centre in beautiful Naramata, BC

  • There will be no business or board meetings this year, so it will be a time purely for rest, learning and recreation.
  • SRABC members, volunteers, family and friends are all welcome.

  • The usual activities such as communal mealtimes, campfire, exercises, speakers, games and a dance and will be on offer, and this year a boat cruise on Okanagan Lake is being planned.

Understanding Stroke: A Workshop for Family & Friends

Understanding Stroke and Brain Injury

This workshop is offered through Vancouver Coastal Health, Fraser Health and Interior Health. Please see the schedule for details on an event in your area.

Workshops:
3 hour workshop on stroke and brain injury that is open to the public and all are welcomed, including:
Family members
Friends
Community and hospital service providers
People who have survived a brain injury or stroke themselves

General topics covered by the facilitators include:
how does the brain work?
what happens to the brain when it is injured?
how do people get better?

People are also encouraged to share their own experiences and to come with their own specific questions. It is these questions that really guide the discussion and make the workshop truly valuable for all who attend.
